Interlude

Interlude is a compilation of spaces that distort with the exploration of memory through an object. An ordinary room first manifests with the object inside; a flacon of perfume that holds memories of Mirissa beach, Sri Lanka. The materiality of the object paired with the spatial attributes of the memory intermingle to create distortions that alter the space through the addition of a series of surrealistic rooms and transitional spaces.
The distortion of space results in a journey through a liminal and surreal conditioning of space. The flacon appears again in the end. We have reached the interlude. To go back would mean to relive existing memories. To go forward would mean to create new memories that would distort the space.
